Our friends told us about a year and a half ago that they were going to get married in Italy. Well, Gp decided "lets make a Eurotrip out of it!" As you know, we were able to stay with friends, and make new ones along the way. 

Recapping the places visited: London, the Netherlands, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, Rome and Tuscany.

It was my first time in Europe and both of our longest trips away from NYC.

Thank you everyone for helping us, hosting us, sharing with us, and just loving us.

Now, without further ado... The Wedding Day!

Gp and I went with the Bridal Party to get pampered with spa treatments. We enjoyed our couples massage, steam room, pool and tea. That's all I have to say about that.

Well, that, and I can't recommend Soulspace in Florence (http://www.soulspace.it). Their customer support is non-existent. Our friends asked for manicures and pedicures and we're given botched jobs (jagged edges at high prices) and when we confronted the management about it, we were treated as if we had done something outlandish. The female manager told us it is not their specialty. I asked why they even bother attempting the service then?! They didn't care. All they wanted was money and for us to leave. 

DO NOT give them business or a second thought. I also suggest you not waste your time with these types of services or places since they don't give professional service. Our masseuses were speaking in Italian to each frequently while massaging Gp and I. Not very professional, considering we can't understand.  (At least wait until we leave to talk about us, come on.)

Took the bus from the villa to Firenze city. When we got on, we found no means of paying. You are supposed to have tickets already, so... we got a FREE RIDE, and we took it eazay! (Not recommended, you can get fined or worse!)

We met up with some of the wedding party at the airport in Rome. Then we were bussed to the Villa, took about four hours. We stopped in between and Gp and I did some moving around at the service station. I was able to do some pullups, sweet!

Our host happens to be from Ostia, which happens to be near the beach. Gp loves beaches so we made a day trip out of it...

On suggestion from our friend, we checked out a pizzeria... and tried a new (for us) pedaling experience for the first time...

Now it's time for us to do the tourist thang.

We took one train for four hours to Milan from Zurich, then another train for four hours to Rome...

Our friend who hosted us lent us her car, which has manual transmission, as do most cars in Europe. JKY was the only one of us with experience driving manual, so he got a refresher course the night before. It went alright. We were able to drive there and back... and made it back alive. Here's some shots from the day.

Zermatt Mountains was our agenda and, by golly, that is where we went!

The weather in Frankfurt was a little cloudy and wet at times so we didn't get to ride. Well, we ride again!

Got to our friends place around 6ish, dinner afterward, very cool and fun...

Woke up to a prepared breakfast of yogurt, fresh honey (from a neighbors farm) and fresh, homemade jams/preserve from fruits around the outside of the house... And later, a boat ride!

Took the train from Paris to Frankfurt... boy were our arms tired, wait that's not right...

Last day in Paris...

Woke up this day at 6am, got a early start.  

Train from Netherlands to Paris, arrival in Paris, some big tower thing...

Amster DAM time, oh yeah! Today we were on our own. Took a train to Amsterdam...

Gp was interested in viewing the windmills in Zaanse Schaans (Danku, Cami!). Our friend was kind enough to take us.

Got up today, did a little workout, had a nice breakfast, shaved, went out to Gp's favorite artists' museum - M.C. Escher! Before that, we went to the beach. Was very nice and vast. Followed by...

We took easyJet, a low cost airline. We were surprised by: 

1. Cost (~$50pp),

2. First come first serve seating, 

3. The flight was delayed. We were on the runway and suddenly we took off. The flight was very fast, took less than an hour! And it was my first time exiting a plane to the outdoors.

After this, we visited a friend (after another friend, whom we are staying with, picked us up). Then, home we went and rested for a bit. Then off to partay...

The following photo shoot was to help a makeup artist with her portfolio. The photos were taken by a professional photographer in his cool studio which has a rope to climb and a trapeze swing. This was our last day in London. Check it out...

Westminster's the name. Reminds me of South Street Seaport, Times Square and Boston combined.
