After this exploration we headed to a Groupon Now deal offering half off a yoga class. It was a small group but a really enjoyable class. The class was held at a tea bar - Mystic Water Kava Bar

This being our last night in San Diego, I really wanted a good burrito. I had been searching online before the yoga class and narrowed my search down to one or two restaurants. BUT...

I asked the tea bar bartender for any recommendations on burrito spots and he recommended a restaurant within walking distance. He suggested Ranchos, I double checked reviews on Yelp.com - 4 out of 5 stars. We went over and, well, it was great. The service was really cool. The waiter joked around with us and suggested a chicken dish with Molé sauce, which I tried before but didn’t dig. He insisted I try the sauce and went to the kitchen to get me some sauce. It was tasty but I wanted a straight chicken burrito.

Chips and salsa [yummy], and that’s an empty bowl that had the molé sauce. Winking
Ms. Kookoo ordered a Mexican hot chocolate. The dude said the machine was broken but they were making it on the stove - awesome.

I ordered the chicken burrito with a side of rice and beans. AH it was good, yum yum. I didn’t even eat the rice and beans, they were lunch the next day. :n d

This was on the menu, I had never heard of it - Nopales. Cactus, basically. The waiter was a meat and potatoes type of dude, barely ate tomatoes so he hadn’t ever tried it. Well, he went to the kitchen and grabbed some for us. It was a little bitter, but not bad.
I suggested he try it, or more like persuaded him to try it, muhahaha. He did, lol, and spit it out.

YAY WE DID IT!

Yeah it’s dessert time, gelato at CHoCoLaT. First we ordered Pumpkin and Chocolate Hazelnut, but I wasn’t feeling the pumpkin. I went back for more and ordered Coconut and Hazelnut. Good stuff.
